Process

When we created our comP4® strategy in 2000, it was a way to commoditize a strategy we had been evolving for several years. By breaking the process down to four logical steps organizations can better understand and evaluate their internal programs. The four steps are Pre-hire, Post-offer, Prevention and Post-claim. We equate the four steps to the tires on an automobile. If you have a flat in one of the tires it will disable the vehicle. Most of the emphasis in workers’ compensation is in P4, which is post-accident. By shifting most of the emphasis to steps P1 through P3 we can significantly impact an organization’s total cost of risk. We have also developed a scoring process to help organizations evaluate their current programs and develop an action plan to improve.
